During EnviroMall month (April) Rocket ran a number of campaigns across both Walthamstow and Wood Green shopping centres to increase environmental awareness. The campaign kicked off on April 1st with an April Fool’s Day prank. Rocket designed and distributed posters and leaflets advising shoppers the centre was going “toilet roll free”, a move passed by management, in a bid to cut waste and advised shoppers to start brining in their own. All the local media got behind the prank.
The main event was the Enviro-hero design competition. Rocket created a school information pack, which was distributed to over 100 primary schools across the Haringey and Waltham Forest regions and created media partnerships.
There were hundreds of entries from local schools for the competition and a dozen pieces of coverage for the EnviroMall campaign in both Walthamstow and Wood Green, representing an advertising value equivalent spend of £12,128 and £4,209 respectively.
Wood Green also won the sought after title of top performing Mall out of all the centres across the UK.
