Welcome back folks – grab yourself a cuppa (I’ll join you on that) and enjoy the following ramblings. So, I have five weeks of useful PR knowledge fastened securely under my belt. I think it’s about time I took over the world! Joke, no seriously I’ve absorbed vital information in regards to marketing and PR that will benefit me in my future career. No two days are the same here at Rocket. Each week that’s flown by I’m finding myself completing tasks and gaining lots of knowledge as I do so.

As I briefly mentioned previously I have an empire to run, Facebook. Rocket’s social media sites are increasing their visibility due to the content I have processed. With the help of PR and Marketing experts, Amanda and Joseph, they have assisted me with ideas to create quirky posts in order to catch the attention of new followers and clients (I see you liking that post). It’s difficult to create something unique, especially when there are various other companies posting on a day-to-day basis. It makes me wonder how they manage to process content that keeps the audience hungry for more? Well, you’re in for a treat because I’ve discovered the secret.. CREATIVITY! Yes, a huge dose of creativity and imagination is the key to engage and increases the chances of boosting the brand’s awareness.

Besides the content and several cups of tea, it’s been enjoyable interacting with all of the team and including them in activities that I then publish for the audience to see. I’ve also been cracking on with projects and unique campaigns, a great opportunity to really sink my teeth into. The greatest achievement I’ve accomplished in the past week was writing up press releases. At first I found it a struggle to develop a piece of writing. Especially when I’m amongst those with years of experience in creating perfect press releases. As I mentally slapped myself across the face, I reminded myself how this is a fantastic chance to exercise my creativity and improve my writing style. It’s a remarkable feeling knowing I am evolving in my chosen profession. Bring on more press releases my creativity awaits you at the gate…

Whilst shadowing the experts in the field, I have learnt that it’s key to think outside the box in order to really stand out from the crowd in marketing and PR.

Have a little faith in the conventional wisdom, until the next time..
